Smartphones have become an absolute necessity these days, and you can’t live without an internet connection. Whenever your mobile connection stops working, the world seems to end. What to do when your mobile stop working? Here are some solutions that might help you.
Check Airplane mode
First and foremost, the thing to do when your mobile data not working is to check whether your phone is on airplane mode or not. Sometimes we accidentally put our phone on airplane mode and start panicking for no reason.
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet.
- Look for Airplane mode and tap on the toggle to turn it on or off.
Furthermore, if your phone isn’t on airplane mode, turn the feature on and off again and see if it gets the data working again. Turning airplane mode on and off can reset settings and set everything back to its original defaults.
Check the Sim card
Sometimes sim cards fall out of place so checking sim card position should always be one of the first solutions when your mobile data isn’t working. Pull your sim card out and reinsert it. Clean the port a little bit. If reinserting doesn’t work, put some other sim on your mobile to figure out whether the problem is with the phone or the sim card.
Check Mobile data limit
Check your mobile data package to see if it has expired or you have used all the MBs. Sometimes you put a limit on your mobile data usage. It is not switched on by default. But maybe you have set a limit and forgot about it, so it is better to double-check that.
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet.
- Tap on Mobile Network.
- Make sure mobile data is on, then tap on Data warning & limit.
- Turn off the toggle of Set data limit or at least make sure that it’s not set lower than your network-provided limit.
Try a reboot
Most smartphones problems can be fixed by a simple reboot. A tiny problem can cause the mobile data not working issue on your phone.
